Member of the Month: July 2022

It's Member of the Month time! 

One of our favourite things to do at Parkwood is celebrate YOU, our fabulous members! 

This month, the award goes to Lydia!

Below is Lydia's story in her own words:

"I joined Parkwood just over a year ago, as I wanted to get back to feeling healthier and to lose some weight. My cousin, Micha, was already a member at Parkwood, so I decided to join.

Towards the end of 2021, I was struggling both mentally and physically, and I knew that something had to change. My New Year's Resolution was to set myself a challenge which incorporated healthy eating, along with completing a 45-minute indoor workout every day, for 75-days straight.

Having the options of using the gym, pool and a variety of classes enabled me to spice up my workouts and create structure in my routines. I particularly enjoy Luke's Wednesday 7am XPRESS class, as it's a mixture of weights, HIIT and cardio!

The staff at Parkwood are brilliant; so welcoming, helpful and encouraging. There's always a great atmosphere and I have made so many new friends since being a member.

I really look forward to my workouts, and achieving more goals that I set myself in the future. I have currently lost just over 2-stone and my mental health has never been better.

If you are considering joining a gym, I wouldn't hesitate in recommending Parkwood. I wouldn't go anywhere else now; I just wish I had started sooner!"
