This month, the award goes to Roger!
Below is Roger’s story in his own words:
"I joined Parkwood in January 2022, after attending a Guest Day with a friend whose partner was already a member here.
I've always seen sports and exercise as an essential element of my lifestyle, particularly for the mental health benefits of training regularly.
Towards the end of 2021, I felt myself losing interest in attending the gym that I went to previously, and was starting to find easy excuses not to go. I hoped that a change of venue might reignite my motivation and enjoyment.. and so it has proved!
I was instantly struck by the friendly, welcoming atmosphere at Parkwood, where all of the staff are approachable, knowledgeable and helpful. There's a wide range of classes on offer to add variety to your training schedule. The Spin classes are great for some intense cardio set to fun music, while Gavin's Yoga classes provide a more relaxed, albeit challenging work-out, with a different focus each week.
For anyone considering joining, I'd highly recommend coming along to one of their monthly Guest Days so you can give it a go, and see what you're missing out on!"
